{"id":375,"date":"2018-03-23T23:50:32","date_gmt":"2018-03-23T23:50:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/domainsplus.uk\/domains\/?p=375"},"modified":"2018-03-23T23:50:32","modified_gmt":"2018-03-23T23:50:32","slug":"how-do-i-sync-sent-draft-and-deleted-mail-items-with-imap-folders-on-iphone-ipad-or-ipod-touch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/domainsplus.uk\/domains\/how-do-i-sync-sent-draft-and-deleted-mail-items-with-imap-folders-on-iphone-ipad-or-ipod-touch\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I sync Sent, Draft and Deleted mail items with IMAP folders on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>This article only applies for mailboxes set-up as IMAP mailboxes on your <em>iPhone, iPad<\/em> or <em>iPod Touch<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can sync your <em><strong>Sent<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Draft<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Deleted<\/strong><\/em> items folders on your <em>iPhone, iPad<\/em> or <em>iPod Touch<\/em> with your mailbox as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <em><strong>Settings<\/strong><\/em> &gt; <em><strong>Accounts &amp; Passwords<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Your Email<\/strong><\/em>, and select the <em><strong>Account<\/strong><\/em> you wish to sync.<\/li>\n<li>On the next screen, go down down to <em><strong>Advanced<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>You will now see a section called \u201c<em><strong>Mailbox Behaviours<\/strong><\/em>\u201d which lists your <em><strong>Drafts<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Sent<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Deleted<\/strong><\/em> folders, select whichever you want to <em><strong>sync<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>On the next screen, go down to the \u201c<em><strong>On the Server<\/strong><\/em>\u201d section and select the correct folder that you want to <em><strong>sync<\/strong><\/em> this local folder to. For most users, this will be \u201c<em><strong>Sent<\/strong><\/em>\u201d for <em><strong>Sent<\/strong><\/em>, \u201c<strong>Drafts<\/strong>\u201d for <strong>Drafts<\/strong> and \u201c<em><strong>Trash<\/strong><\/em>\u201d for <em><strong>Deleted<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you repeat this process for each of your <em><strong>Sent<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Drafts<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Deleted<\/strong><\/em> folders, they will be <em><strong>synced<\/strong><\/em> up with their respective folder on the server.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article only applies for mailboxes set-up as IMAP mailboxes on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
